SPAMS 2006 San Francisco trip
Day 7
We left Lakeview, OR and drove on some very straight roads thru barren
country but quite interesting. A Lake called Alkali we passed then up to Burns
sometimes at higher speeds with wide open country and very little traffic in the
cool morning. From Burns we took a side road 47 up thru the hills passed some
cows and gravel roads which the V-Stroms liked, then back down to 395 N. We then
arrived in John Day and drove towards Pendleton which this section really is a
great road. It has twisties, straight parts and some major sweepers, the whole
deal!!! We had dinner at Sharis and spent time in the pool with some cold beers
after a long day. Pawel is working on his Cannonball diving but still needs some
practice but was getting good.
