SPAMS 2006 San Francisco trip

Day 6
Today we started in Truckee, CA. David had to get his chain fixed since the hard ride had damaged his sprockets and chain. The place was in Reno and had delays getting both sprockets so he was stuck till 4pm then left north.
We drove up to Lassen Volcanic National Park which was great up 89 and saw and smelled the Sulfur and the rim of the old volcano which was 11.5 miles across when it blew. The scenes were great and the weather cool at 8000 feet but then hot when we dropped down to 3000 feet. We had Chinese in Alturia and as we were leaving we see David at the intersection. We drove together the final 50 miles with a super sunset on our left over Goose Lake as we got into Lakeview and the hotel. Pawel in the room stretched his arms and knocked the picture off the wall and the glass broke, he is ok. David call this ride "Brokeframe Mountain" and Pawel's favorite song by the way is Tom Jones " She's a Lady".
